Highams Park Fungus Foray

Join us to learn about the weird and wonderful world of fungi! Come for a walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours. We will learn how to identify common mushroom species and explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem. Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as live-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, they simultaneously inspire fear, wonder and confusion. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too. The foray will be led by Michael Green (London Fungus Network and London National Park City Ranger) and David Satori (mycologist and founder of Myceliate).
