*Please note that BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL to maintain a small group* http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/.../wtf-whats-the-fungus...
Join us for a *socially distanced* walk in the woods to get to know your fungal neighbours. We will learn how to identify common mushroom species and explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem.
Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as live-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, they simultaneously inspire fear, wonder and confusion. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too.
The foray will be led by Michael Green (London Fungus Network and London National Park City Ranger) and David Satori (mycologist and founder of Myceliate).
This will be a Socially Distanced outdoor event in line with the latest UK Government COVID guidance. All attendees will be required to maintain social distancing.
Booking is essential in order to limit numbers in line with Government guidance.
Please note that this event is for educational purposes and is not a foraging event.
*Travel and location*
The event will take place a short walk from Highams Park overground station, E4 9LA. Meeting point will be emailed to participants prior to the event.
